This holiday season, I decided to make cookie boxes for people for Kings Day. I felt a bit apologetic about the concept, but I might commit to it. Advantages: 1) I'm being Euro-chic! 2) I'm extending the holidays in a globally justified way! 3) Everyone has run out of Christmas treats and is a little sad. 4) I get to do all the work on those weird in-between days where you're trying to figure out what to do anyway, instead of when you're figuring out family presents, etc., 5) You have a complete list of who gave stuff to YOU and therefore who needs reciprocation.

Mango/chili/pepita tostada toffee
Palmiers-- old recipe from King Arthur using a sour-cream puff pastry that I can't find online, but I used a "British baking spice" mix instead of just cinnamon sugar
